“The world today doesn't make sense, so why should I paint pictures that do?”-Pablo Picasso

I have been spending hours on my favorite past time, painting. It helps me unwind after a long hard day of driving my mother nuts. Really she is quite chuffed that I like artsy things. She is even entrusting me to make a clay sculpture of my own, which (with the special clay) will harden and then I can paint. Pics of that delight are soon to come.

While painting and arts are my joy, Momma forces me to learn every morning. I have mastered writing some of my letters, and am working on verbal analysis and numbers. I like to freak my parents out, and pretend something we have gone over for hours just did not compute. I think Momma has caught on...perhaps my little sneaky grin gives it away. I figured pretending would get her to leave me alone, but it only causes her to think I need to work harder! I like to break out my new knowledge while we are out and about (totally freaks Mom out too). Ah well, the sooner I get this down, the sooner I can torture them with reading books to myself, thus prolonging the go to bed experience. Ta Ta

Growing Up...

Hello dear readers, so much has happened since June. We have been seriously remiss in posting. I am growing like a weed. I have also discovered my inner Da Vinci. I am very into anything artistic (painting, coloring). I also love music, and mommy calls me "Liza" because I hum and sing all day long (wonder where I got that from?!). I am forced to have "school" every morning with mama. She forced me to write letters, and learn more numbers, shapes and colors every single day. I would much rather be reading. My favorite hobby is taking down every single book. My biggest treat is going to the library and that crafty minx mother of mine uses it as a bribe. I pretend to go along with it, but secretly I just save my bad behaviour for when we get home. I insist we take out a lot of books and mommy carries them out like a pack mule.

I had a fabulous summer. It was made even more fabulous when Mommy decided to keep me home with her for one more year. There is plenty of time for school and me being gone all day. We also moved again...I know, shocking! Our new place is a lot bigger, and I have the whole upstairs as my playroom, so I love it. I got a nice long visit with my NY cousins, and I frequently call them to tell them how much I miss them. It seems Mommy has gotten over her germ-phobia so we are always doing some activity during the week. Nothing tires me out though! I had a fabulous Christmas...lots of toys and fun, as you can imagine.

So now dear readers, I am whiling away this dreadful winter. I am so not made for the cold. I think my picture accurately shows my dismay at having to wear tons of layers. I am most comfortable half-naked and causing havoc indoors. xo xo...you know you love me...Stella!
