My Green Thumb

We met my pals (soon to be schoolmates) at Long Hill in Beverly, MA the other day. We got there earlier than expected and I ran to fill my watering can and get to business. I love gardens this year and everyone knows, it is all about gardens. Long Hill had a children's garden and Peter Rabbit's Garden which had bunches of veggies. Most of my skincare routine includes lavender, so I was pretty psyched to see lavender plants that actually have buds (unlike mommy's lavender plants). I really had a ball just running free and getting to know the kids I will be spending eight hours a week with.

At the Playground....You Know

I ask Mommy to take me to the playground every single day, rain or shine. I have mastered some of the climbing mechanisms and she should know, only through practice can I become as perfect as I can be. I could stay there for hours, but alas, Mommy always makes me leave to do silly things like "eat lunch," and "get dinner ready for you and Daddy."

Flipping Out!

My public has demanded I post pics of me in my glory at Gymnastics, or what the cool kids call "tumbles". I decided during this class that my monkey blanket should also learn the ropes. I like to end each class with a nice stretching out of my body on the rings. Olympics here I come!

Eurovision 2010

While Mommy was checking out some of the Eurovision 2010 entrants, I fell in love with the international musical stylings of the Slovakia and Germany contestants. I refer to the Slovakia video as the "Green One" because the singer is filmed in green light, and the Germany video as the "Black One" since she is wearing a black dress. I can now speak a little Slovak from "Horehonie", and the Germany song "Satellite" is just for dancing fun. Here I am in my official Eurovision dance costumes. I was a little annoyed that my public kept trying to snap pics of me (excuse my "grumpy" face a la Sean Penn).

I Adore Being a Girl!

I love copying whatever Mommy does, so after my bath, I insisted she wrap my hair in her turban towel and I pranced around like a princess. I was especially excited for Daddy to see me, and waiting in the hallway to stare out the window for a sighting of my favorite guy! It is hard being so darn cute!

You Dehydrate It!

Mommy got a new dehydrator and that meant yours truly was forced into labor to make make "healthy snacks." We made fruit leather and flax seed crackers together, and I love them both! I especially love mixing and loading ingredients into the blender. Mommy seems to think helping keeps me out of trouble, but I just pack more trouble into my free time.

And back to the beach weather...

Last Sunday was pretty warm so we packed up and went to the beach. I was all about digging and dipping my dainty toes into the ocean. Check me out in the cool hole Daddy made me. As I type this today it is a frosty 50 degrees. Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

This one goes out to my homies...

Here I am on April 18th barbecuing outside with my Dziadzui. Hey we live in New England, where the weather changes in the blink of an eye. Was it only a week ago that I was swimming outside? Mom and Dad insisted I was warm thus Dziadzui's hat and my bigger cousins sweatshirt! I think I look rather fetching!

Global Warming?!!!?!!!!!

I hear lots of talk about this whole Global Warming thing, but I have no idea what in yosemite sam they are talking about. If that means 90 Degree weather on April 7th, well sign me up! I was delighted enough to play on the playground, and though I was skeptical, as soon as we got to the beach, I stripped and ran for the huge pool of ocean water with the other kids! Good times, good times... (FYI, I always have Mommy bring more than one suit as I like to change at least three times during one beach trip)

Lunch with Daddy

Lately I have become obsessed about where Daddy goes all day. What is this work they speak of? So after our adventure to the Museum, Mommy and I did a detour to visit Daddy. We had lunch at Ashburton Place. I was in my element. I got to visit the State House (and even snuck under some velvet ropes to see a statue closer up). I met some of Dad's cronies and then promptly took a rock-star nap for the drive home.

BOSTONNNNE!

When we woke up this morning and saw rain, Mommy went into action! We decided the Children's Museum in Boston was the place to go. We had some fun in Peep and the Big Wide World exhibit where I got to play in water. Imagine my delight when I saw that Curious George had his own exhibit. I had a wonderful time. I got to nearly every room. I played on the "Farm" in Curious George Land and honed my scissor skills cutting streamers. I loved the Boston exhibit which taught me about different cultures. I was especially into the Steel Drum. I got to climb into a real Bobcat bulldozer too! It was such a good time, and I might even be a little worn out.

Keepin' it Cool!

My Dziadziu (grandfather) was nice enough to build me a kitchen. He is a master woodworker! I decided I needed a matching fridge (though a sneaking suspicion on my and Dziadziu's part tells us Mommy wanted a fridge too). He made me this wonderful fridge and brought it over yesterday. After first I was unsure, then I realized I could fill it with all of my "food". I stocked it full of all of the playfood we had (included a wooden breakfast set that I deemed Frozen food and popped into the freezer!). Big shout out to the best woodworking grandfather in the world! I love you Dziadziu, and despite my angry words during a tantrum yesterday, we can be Best Friends again.

Bunny Hop!

Easter turned out to be one of my favorite holidays! I got to hunt for eggs at a cousin's house on Saturday. That is when I officially decided this whole Easter thing was a marvelous idea. I colored eggs too! On Sunday I got to do another egg hunt, but more importantly I got to spend all day outside! I met my Uncles friend Ali, who is not my "BFF" and I ran my Uncle's dog Koda ragged. I love that playful puppy! He really was my buddy and by my side the whole day. He faded a little faster than me though. I have boundless energy.

Let's All Go For a Walk Outside Now...

It has been raining non-stop here for a few days and Mommy and I had had enough. Because of various appointments we were caught indoors on the first day the rain stopped, but today we were outside all day. We headed off to...you guessed it...the beach! I have been begging to go back and feed the Seagulls. We had a little picnic, then I ran barefoot down the beach until I actually came to Mommy and asked to go. Yes Folks, I actually tired myself out...kind of. Mommy took me to the playground there and I gave her some little heart attacks as I climbed and went down the biggest to the smallest slides. I had a fantastic time on the swings too! When we left Mommy suggested ice cream, which I know was foul play - she did not want me falling asleep. I was not going to complain though. We had some delicious ice cream that I spilled all over my pants. I cannot stop yawning now, but it was well worth it.
